Come and celebrate 200 years of Jane Austen’s Men and the Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, being held at the Albert Hall in Canberra. The festival will run for three days and nights filled with dancing, singing, music, balls, dinners, gaming, promenades, food and fashion; everything you can think of from the books of Jane Austen.
Experience the Georgian era as described by Jane Austen herself while exploring Australia’s place in history during Jane Austen’s life.
The list of events and activities include three 4 hour balls, a new theatre piece called ‘Mr Bennet’s Bride’, horse drawn carriage rides, sewing workshops, archery, and a spectacle of hundreds of participants in magnificent regal dresses.
