Madame Tussaud’s in Sydney will soon host Hijinks, Strike a Pose! a celebration of all things fabulous. On the Friday evening of April 15, Hijinks will transform the wax museum into a not-to-be-missed sensory experience. There will be an interactive pop-up bar, fashion show, burlesque performances and much, much more.
The night kicks off at 6:30pm, with dancers, drag artists and stylists paying homage to fashion throughout the decades. Use a make-over booth to change your look with help from makeup artist Katya Lonsdale. Learn how to strike a pose from professional dancer Diesel Darling. Stylist Ashley Marcos will run fashion illustration workshops, while burlesque performer Cody Cabana can help you design fashion accessories at the craft station.

Practice your strut on the catwalk and bask in the glow of Diabolique Photography’s camera flash. Take selfies with wax models of the most famous fashionistas, from Lady Gaga to Kylie. Or compare your style to the timeless glamour of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.
Dress to impress as there will be awards for the best frocks, suits or kink wear. So channel the style of your choice, be it avant-garde, retro, futuristic or anything in between. Karl and Joel, presenters from OX Live Radio will be there to hear all about your creative costume efforts.
DJ Nick La Rosa will amplify the party vibe, playing runway-ready bangers until you can’t possibly walk the catwalk anymore.
Strike a Pose! is the latest in Hijinks’ after-hours party nights. Famous for transforming popular venues into adults only playgrounds, we guarantee this will be an unforgettable event.
Tickets are $25 and include a complimentary beer or Stoli vodka cocktail on arrival. This event is strictly over 18’s.
