Today is the first official day of Mardi Gras celebrations! Spanning from Friday 20th February – Sunday 8th March, the city of Sydney celebrates the beauty of diversity and puts on a festival of colour, light and love.
This year will feature the 37th Annual Mardi Gras Parade which makes its merry way down Oxford and Flinders Streets, Darlinghurst on Saturday 7th March. Another not-to-miss event in this years Mardi Gras Festival is Dean Bryant’s Gaybies, a funny and moving piece of real-life theatre. Presented by the Darlinghurst Theatre Company, it tells the story of children who’ve grown up with gay parents. We definitely don’t want to miss this one!
